Packers coach Mike McCarthy says Jermichael Finley (shoulder) "has a chance" of playing in Week 6.

Finley said he'd suit up against the Texans "for sure," but his coach is predictably being more guarded in his assessment. Finley didn't appear to dealing with a serious injury on the sideline Sunday, but that's a poor indicator of severity. His status will be updated no later than Wednesday.

Jermichael Finley (shoulder) says he "slightly" dislocated his AC joint in Sunday's loss against the Colts, but remains hopeful of playing against the Texans.

Finley initially guaranteed he'd be ready for Sunday Night Football, but has softened his tone after missing Wednesday's practice. He'll be on track to play if he can return Thursday, but owners clearly need to have a back-up plan at the ready.

Jermichael Finley (shoulder) will not practice until Friday at the earliest and appears headed for a game-time decision in Week 6.

Finley remains optimistic, but he "slightly" dislocated his shoulder last week and did not return to the game. If he can't practice on Friday, owners are going to have to seek out other options. The Packers play the Texans on Sunday Night Football, meaning we might not know Finley's official status until roughly 7 p.m. ET.

CBS Sports' Jason La Canfora reports Packers NT B.J. Raji (ankle) will miss Sunday Night Football, while Jermichael Finley (shoulder) is "50-50" to play.

Raji's absence is a big blow for Green Bay against such a potent rushing offense in the Texans'. The Packers may resort to more four-man fronts without their wide-bodied nose tackle. Finley appears to be a full-blown game-time decision, which makes for difficult fantasy lineup decisions in such a late start. Fantasy owners would be smart to turn to other options in early games.
